10.7.08 Do some Google research on work from home business, and you will find there are thousands of websites that have offers to make money on the internet.

It's not always easy to tell which of the programs are really viable and which are not. You can do a Better Business Bureau search on them to see if they have outstanding complaints against them. You can look for Spamhaus reports on a business or program to see if there are spam complaints. But it's really difficult beyond that to discern whether the business is ethical, well supported, and a good fit for you.

Almost nothing worth participating in as a home based business is free. There may be free aspects to it, but the program or business itself will probably cost you something. You shouldn't be discouraged by the fact that a business cost some money though. Any offline business cost something to get involved, so why wouldn't online business cost you something also?

The money that you may pay to be part of an online business can be considered as a franchise fee. Someone else has set up the business and the website and whatever support there may be, and now they have made it available for others to use. Why should they not be compensated for their work and effort?

Plan on having some cost. Expect that anything worth having is going to require some investment. Otherwise, if you wish to have a business for free, perhaps a lemonade stand on your yard is more in line with your expectations. Even then, you have costs; lemons, sugar, water, cups, ice, the stand, the signs, labor, etc.
