Don't like what or who you think you are? Stop thinking that, and whatever you desire to be, think that is what you are.
In fact, don't just think it, know it, feel it, claim it as though it is the fact.
Know that whatever it is you wish to be, you have the ability, the intelligence, the resources at hand to be that person.
Do you want to know why you should believe this and do this? Because it is true. You are what you think you are.
Nothing comes into existence except that is first thought. A chair was not a chair before someone thought of it and then afterward made it. But first, it was a thought. The same is true for all that you see and believe to be real. First, it was a thought.
You may not believe this when you read it. It doesn't change the fact that it is true. You may not believe in gravity, but gravity still holds you to the earth. You may not believe the Sun is still and the Earth moves around it, but it does.
You are not the product of heredity, environment, or past experiences. You are the product of what you have chosen to accept as the "truth" or "reality" as to who and what you are.
Demonstrating this fact may come more quickly or slowly depending upon your receptivity and willingness to accept this as true. Practicing also speeds your progress in this endeavor. You can prove this for yourself. Take something simple that you currently consider as part of who you are. Reverse your thinking about it and watch the results.
For instance, perhaps you believe that you are a person who gets up at a certain time every day. But really, you would like to be the person who gets up an hour earlier. Then you should think, "I am not a person who gets up every day at 7:00 a.m., I am a person who gets up at 6:00 a.m. every day. I love getting up at 6:00 a.m., I leap out of bed at 6:00 a.m., I am wide awake and well rested at 6:00 a.m. every day. I do those things that allow me to rise at 6:00 a.m. each day and feel awake and refreshed.
Continuing to claim this, you will find that you become a person who gets up at 6:00 a.m. instead of 7:00 a.m. each morning. You can apply this to all areas of your life. You can apply this to your health, your home, your family, your income, your work.
You may wonder, "what happened to getting up every morning at 7:00 a.m." or "what happened to the person who got up at 7:00 a.m?" Well, now you can see that it wasn't an unchangeable fact at all, but merely a belief; a changeable belief. When you change your belief, then what before seemed real, becomes unreal, and so it disappears into nothingness."

3.24.09 Today, before cutting the grass, I walked over the area to be cut and picked up any litter and paper that had blown onto the property. First, one rabbit leaped out and ran about 15 or more feet from the hole, and then a 2nd followed him, but only went about 3 feet and stopped along a nearby wall of the building. The 3rd stayed right there in the safety and warmth of the rabbit hole.
At this point I proceeded to cut the grass on my lawn tractor. It took a little over an hour for me to cut the grass. During that time, I saw that 1st rabbit all over the place! He just kept running around, apparently trying to keep an eye on where I was. The 2nd rabbit sat in the same spot along the wall where I could easily see him and avoid him for the entire time. And the 3rd rabbit stayed in the hole seeming not to be too concerned with me and what I was doing.
I began to think about how interesting it was that the 3 individual rabbits had the same outward experience, but the way they responded, and therefore their individual experience, was entirely different. One ran around in a frenzy, one sat quietly and watched, and another seemed to hold their position and remain unconcerned.
We may take a look at ourselves and see how we respond to problems. Do we get frightened into running about frantically? Do we sit on the sideline carefully watching? Or do we stick to what we know and remain unconcerned knowing the problem cannot touch us?
How we address our problems is responsible for how successful we are overall.
